Helping save lives in Frigiliana

THE mobile unit for blood donation will be in Frigiliana on July 28 from 6pm to 10pm at the Plaza del Ingenio.
The town council explained in a statement that, even though the blood bank reserves are at a healthy level at the moment, due to traffic accidents traditionally registered in a higher number during the summer season, the blood demand is increased and collaborating is significantly higher during this period.
It is estimated that an only blood donation can help save the lives of three people. Those who have already donated this year have to take into account that giving blood can be carried out every two months, with a maximum of four times per year for men and three for women.
The mobile unit will remain at the Plaza del Ingenio from 6pm to 10pm.
