Padel for a good cause

ONE of the most successful sports summer events of the Costa Tropical is about to take place and with a charitable spirit.
The registration period for the Charity Padel Tournament Manos Unidas, scheduled to take place between July 20 and 26 at the municipal padel courts of Stadium Francisco Bonet, has already begun.
The event was presented by local representative of Catholic charity Manos Unidas Ana Garcia, together with Heads of the Sports and Finance Departments, Luis Aragon and Antonio Laborda, respectively.
“Not only do we encourage padel enthusiasts to attend, but also all residents and visitors who wish to enjoy this sports event from the terraces,” said the Councillors.
“All proceeds will go to improve health and nutrition in rural schools as well as the creation of vegetable patches in Bolivia,” said Ms Garcia.
Tickets cost €20 and include a t-shirt, padel balls and water. Registration can be done at 609 57 62 26 (Ana) and 678 450813 (Mariano).
