Murder suspect held over death of woman near Barcelona

A SWEDISH man has been detained by police on suspicion of murdering a woman whose body was discovered on Saturday (July 11) in a wooded area near the seaside resort of Calella, situated 58 kilometres north of Barcelona.
The woman, who has not yet been identified, is believed to have been murdered in a nearby tourist resort, before her dismembered body was left at the spot in a bag, according to Catalan news agency ACN.
The suspect, who is in his 40s, was on holiday in the area, police say.
