Boy dies in hospital

A FIVE-year-old boy has died in intensive care four days after being rescued from Els Poblets public swimming pool.
The young boy was pulled out of the water unconscious and taken first to Denia hospital and later to La Fe’s paediatric intensive care unit in a critical condition on Sunday, July 5, but sadly all efforts to save his life were in vain.
Els Poblets Council announced the sad news on Twitter and expressed its condolences to the family.
