Velez mayor bids farewell

SOCIALIST Mayor of Velez Rubio Domingo Crisol presented his resignation last week during a plenary session.
The Town Council will now be led by PP Conservative party leader, Miguel Martinez Carlon, as Mr Domingo’s resignation has also meant the end of the coalition formed by PSOE and Partido Andalucista PA, led by Juan Chacon.
Now the PP is to take control of the Town Council after being voted back in the local elections of May 25, obtaining six councillors, while the PSOE had four, and three went to the PA.
