Alicante and Elche universities amongst best in world

THE five public universities of the Valencia Region are amongst the 1,000 best in the world, according to the Centre for World University Rankings (CWUR).
First to appear on this list is the University of Valencia (UV), ranked 294, followed by the Polytechnic University (UPV) in 440th place. The University of Alicante (UA) is placed at 681, while Miguel Hernandez in Elche (UMH) is in 767th position and Jaume I (UJI), in 808th. The University of Murcia was also listed at number 799.
The ranking includes a total of 40 Spanish institutions and is led by Harvard University, followed by Stanford University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the USA with the UK’s Cambridge and Oxford Universities coming next.
