CHEEKY: Re-offender stole from the court secretary.

A MAN of 30 who was arrested in a bar for pick-pocketing appeared in court in Villena near Alicante on Friday July 17 and was given a suspended sentence by the judge.
Immediately following his conviction, however, he was left unaccompanied in the court building and managed to steal a wallet, mobile phone and iPad from the office of the court secretary before happily setting off to the shops to use the purloined credit cards and identification on a shopping spree.
He was re-arrested a few hours later by the same Guardia Civil patrol that had taken him into custody for his original offence and reappeared in the same court on Monday July 20 before the same judge to face added charges of theft and fraud.
This time, Guardia Civil officers ensured that the man was escorted from the court building.
