AIRLIFTED: Jessica was taken to hospital in Limoges by air ambulance.

A SCHOOLGIRL from Yorkshire died on Tuesday (July 21) on a school trip to an adventure centre in France in a suspected swimming accident.
The 12-year-old pupil from Wolfreton School near Hull was reported by French press to have been one of a group of children jumping off a pontoon into a lake when it overturned and trapped some of them underneath. She was flown to hospital in Limoges where she later died.
Headmaster Dave McCready said that the tragic event had been a dreadful shock to the whole school, and added that the victim’s family had travelled to France immediately.
A group of 24 pupils and three members of staff had left for the adventure centre on July 18 and were due to return home on Thursday 23.
A full investigation will be held by the authorities in France, head of schools at the East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Mike Furbank, reported.
The centre where the tragic event occurred has been running for more than 20 years, according to its website.
