ALTOGETHER 575,000 people are in work in Malaga Province and 25,900 new jobs have been created between April and June, the latest statistics have revealed.THE EPA Active Population Survey for the second quarter of 2015 registered the highest number of people in work since 2008, and unemployment has fallen below the 30 per cent mark for the first time in four years.Published on Thursday (July 23) the EPA revealed that there were 17,000 fewer people registered as unemployed than at the beginning of the year, although at a total of 245,900 the figure was still very high.While the period studied, between April and June, is traditionally the best time of year for employment in the province due to tourism, compared to figures from the same time last year the results are spectacular with 41,000 more people in work than a year ago, and 13,500 fewer registered as unemployed.
