FUENGIROLA Council has reached an agreement with the regional government to guarantee a local family treatment service continues.The service, which was launched in 2007 and has so far worked with 183 local families, employs two psychologists, a social worker, a family educator and a coordinator to help resolve situations involving children at risk of social exclusion and reunite broken families.This year 67 cases involving 108 children have been dealt with, and co-financing from the Junta de Andalucia regional government will ensure the important work the teams carry out may continue, Social Services councillor Francisco Jose Martin explained.
