Saharawi children welcomed to Benidorm by mayor

BENIDORM’S Mayor Toni Pérez was delighted to welcome a group of ten Saharawi children who are visiting the resort and staying with host families as part of the ‘Holiday in Peace’ programme.
The programme is promoted every summer, giving the children of the refugee camps in Tindouf, Algeria the opportunity to receive nutritional and medical care and to recharge their batteries, enjoying a series of recreational and leisure activities that are not available at home.
The mayor presented the children with a small token as a memento of their stay and happily posed for photographs.
