Heat stroke claims another victim as man of 46 dies near Valencia

A MAN of 46 is the fourth victim of heatstroke in the Valencia Region. He was treated in a health clinic near Valencia after he fainted but medical staff were unable to save his life.
A woman of 83 died in the Sant Joan hospital on July 9, a man of 84 died in Mislata on Saturday July 18 and on Tuesday July 28, a man of 47 in Torrevieja.
The Heatwave 2015 programme was activated on June 18 after around a dozen people were hospitalised with symptoms of heat stroke, all later discharged.
The Department of Health continues to advise residents and visitors to take sensible precautions to protect.
