Malaga police track down clumsy suspect

A MAN has been arrested in Malaga suspected of trapping another man inside a bar bathroom and threatening him with a knife before stealing €1,000 in cash the victim was carrying.

Investigators tracked the suspect down by checking with city hospitals and medical centres after the victim reported that his attacker had crashed into a thick glass door while running away and was bound to have been injured.

After checking hospital records the police identified the suspect and although he had abandoned his home and was hiding at his mother-in-law’s home in the northern part of the city officers tracked him down, arrested him and confiscated €202 he was found to be carrying.
