AREA managers from Sevillana-Endesa electrical company have said that power cuts last summer and at Easter were not due to faults but promised to check the network anyway.
Almuñecar mayor, Trinidad Herrera, had requested a meeting to discuss the cuts suffered in the area and how to avoid them happening again, which was finally held on Tuesday (August 4).
Herrera later reported that the electrical company representatives had said the cuts were just one of those things, but said they would have cables checked to ensure any possible faults could be repaired before August 15, when the peak demand is expected as population in the area is forecast to treble this month.
