30,600 people visited the town in June.
ESTEPONA had its best month of June for tourism of the last decade according to new statistics. Ana Velasco, councillor for Tourism, announced that the National Statistics Institute (INE) had reported a total of 151,841 overnight stays in the Costa town in June, 115,000 of them by people from abroad.
This number is a 55 per cent increase on that registered in June last year and the total amount of visitors to the town was 20 per cent higher than last year at 30,600, the councillor explained.
