Diana visits Ibiza.
THE jet-setting turtle Diana, released from Denia recently, has been tracked via GPS to Ibiza.
Diana was rescued when she became entangled in a plastic bag and lost a fin. She has now started on her next adventure after being fitted with a GPS system and released into the waters near les Rotes, Denia.
After release she headed northeast and then changed direction and is currently at the northern coastline of Ibiza. Diana has not used the most direct route though – the distance from Denia to her present location is 126 kilometres but the tracking software says she has travelled 186 kilometres.
It is not known whether Diana intends to embrace the dance culture of Ibiza and visit some of the island’s hedonistic clubs.
