BELLYDANCING: An increasingly popular art.
ALTEA Town Hall and the Department of Youth is collaborating on the organisation of the third edition of the Bellyflower Festival, a fusion event celebrating the music and dance of the Arab culture.
The festival will takes place on Friday August 7 and Saturday 8, with colourful belly dancing demonstrations from a collection of talented artistes, an oriental Bazaar and delicious tapas and drinks.
The fun starts with a Gala Show at L’Estanc Altea on Friday August 7 with guests from Morocco, Brazil, Italy France and Argentina. Entrance is €5.
On Saturday August 8 there will be an opportunity for eight hours of intensive training with professionals from different disciplines including Oriental Dance, Indian Dance and Tribal Dance at the Youth Centre, Sala Multiusos.
