MOTORISED shopping trolleys will soon be making life easier for people with disabilities in supermarkets, partly thanks to the efforts of a Pedreguer company.
Joan Bertran, president of the Esclat Association which runs a work centre for the disabled in Barcelona and the president of Rolser Pedreguer, Joan Server, have signed an agreement to jointly manufacture the motorised shopping trolley.
The shopping cart will make a big improvement to the lives of people who are disabled and who must rely on others to help them shop. Designed by Xavier Caballero of the centre and Rolser engineer Javier Gilabert, the shopper will be available in the autumn.
The signing was attended by the vice president of the Generalitat de Cataluña, Neus Munté.
