APPROXIMATELY 2,500 homes in Nijar, particularly in the coastal areas of San Jose, Los Escullos, El Pozo de los Frailes and La Isleta del Moro, were left in the dark due to a power cut on Wednesday night (August 5).
Endesa electricity company reported that a fault was detected in the network between Calle Ronda and Calle Escuela de San Jose at 9.42pm and service was resumed at about 11pm in most areas, although 250 homes in rural areas remained in the dark for almost 12 hours due to another fault. Service resumed at 9am after technicians replaced a faulty element.
