POLICE fined the owner of a van €200 on when he parked outside museum of the Cap i Casal Cathedral in Denia.

The van was owned by the restorer of a 15th Century church carving and he was returning the newly renovated piece measuring more than a metre high via the sacristy.

Unfortunately he forgot to secure permission to park illegally while the statue was delivered. He is now appealing for forgiveness and asking for the fine to be overlooked.
