ALMOST 1,750 children in Velez-Malaga will benefit from a financial grant to help them pay for school books for the 2015-2016 year.
The aid, called Cheque-Libro, have been allocated to help children aged between three and five years, and the total budget for the project has been set as €125,000.
Each student is to receive €70 for this purpose, while those children from families at serious risk of social exclusion (at least 130 of cases) will have all their books paid for by the town council.
A voucher will be given to the families, which can be exchanged at any bookshop of the town.
