Come to the fair in Malaga

MALAGA City’s annual fair, one of the most important in Andalucia, started in style at midnight on Friday 14 with a stunning firework display views by thousands from the beaches, rooftops and anywhere else they could find space across the city.

Lasting 20 minutes and including more than 400 kilos of fireworks, the display was accompanied by music by Phil Collins, Adele, Beyonce, Jose Mara Cano, Aretha Franklin, Andrea Bocelli and Ruperto Chapi.

A total of 13,900 fireworks filled the sky with light and colour from the port before popular Spanish singer Edurne performed at La Malagueta.

On Saturday 15, the town centre was filled with heat, music and crowds looking for a good time. The party continues all week, with daytime festivities in Calle Larios and the surrounding area and a huge, enticing funfair on the outskirts waiting for visits in the evenings.
