ALICANTE is calling for €50 million to be allowed for infrastructure improvements in the province’s health centres, in the 2016 state budget.
Councillor for Health, Carmen Monton, said the money needed to be included in the budget to carry out the necessary reforms needed on health centres. She said there were more than 70 buildings that were with “various needs of adaptation and improvement.” Among them is the General Hospital of Alicante. Monton said maintenance problems were one of the main issues and problems facing health department managers.
