Suspect in Thai bomb blast seen on CCTV

THE main suspect in the Thai bomb blast that killed at least 22 people and injured more than 120 when it exploded in the country´s capital on Monday August 17, was spotted when police checked CCTV footage taken from the area surrounding the blast.
The video showed a woman placing a bag in the Bangkok shrine shortly before the bomb exploded, killing and injuring passers-by and causing carnage and devastation over a large area in a commercial district popular with tourists.
Police are now searching for the woman, who has not been identified but is believed to be long to “an anti-government group based in Thailand´s northeast,” according to authorities.
This part of Thailand is a stronghold of the Red Shirt movement and authorities say they are closing in on the bombers, although they are reluctant to name the suspects yet.
