THE main suspect in the Thai bomb blast that killed at least 22 people and injured more than 120 when it exploded in the country´s capital on Monday August 17, was spotted when police checked CCTV footage taken from the area surrounding the blast. The video showed a woman placing a bag in the Bangkok shrine shortly before the bomb exploded, killing and injuring passers-by and causing carnage and devastation over a large area in a commercial district popular with tourists.Police are now searching for the woman, who has not been identified but is believed to be long to “an anti-government group based in Thailand´s northeast,” according to authorities. This part of Thailand is a stronghold of the Red Shirt movement and authorities say they are closing in on the bombers, although they are reluctant to name the suspects yet.
