THE Partido Popular in Nerja has seen the resignation of one of its councillors this week. Ana Gonzalez has decided to say goodbye to opposition party PP, but will remain a councillor, sitting with independents in the town hall.
Ms Gonzalez explained her decision to leave was motivated by the line of policies followed by the PP in opposition, and also alleged that her proposals were not being listened to by her party.
PP representatives, however, counter claimed that the councillor had not presented any proposals and had given her agreement to all the regulations presented by the party. They said her resignation came as a surprise to the rest of members.
