ALTHOUGH Alicante, and particularly Benidorm, has been attracting British tourists for a long time, a new study suggests this could all be due to change due to climatic change.
Published by the European Commission, the study by Spanish investigators Salvador Barrios and Juan Ibañez Rivas suggests that by 2100 the higher temperatures and lack of rain expected in the area will have forced tourists from the UK in particular to head for cooler climes in the north for their holidays.
