Fuengirola’s opposition demands more help for people facing eviction

MEMBERS of the opposition parties in Fuengirola Council want the town to become more supportive towards people facing eviction.

They have presented at petition to the town hall to create a board which aims to put an end to evictions by guaranteeing measures which find a solution for failure to make mortgage payments, and to guarantee water and electricity supply.

They also aim to create municipal housing plans and a network of municipal housing, as well as a census of people who are evicted.

They hope to reach an agreement with Malaga Lawyers Association to offer free legal aid to people who need it.
