SCHOOLS across Rincon de la Victoria have undergone a ‘back-to-school’ campaign of renovations and improvement.

Works were kicked off in mid-June and are expected to be completed by September 8, according to Education councillor, Yolanda Florido.

Maintenance Works councillor, Jose Luis Perez, explained that the 150 projects carried out involved works such as repainting, improving plumbing and electricity systems and carpentry works amongst others, with a cost of €6,700 spent on different materials.

“We have just finished works at the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria school in Benagalbon, with the creation of space designed especially for teachers,” said the councillor.

“For our government, education is one of the fundamental pillars and we will continue to guarantee school facilities,” said Mayor Encarnacion Anaya.
