Los Alcornocales Park
A MAN has been jailed for six months for building a pool on non-buildable, protected land in the Los Alcornocales Park (Cortes de la Frontera).
The sentence issued by the Malaga Court will also force him to demolish the pool to re-establish urban legality and to pay a €2,160 compensation.
The sentence’s text explains that the event took place in 2007, when the man was able to obtain a construction licence to repair a stone wall and build a septic tank. However, in 2011, several Junta de Andalucia Environment Officers reported that, instead of carrying out the works that the licence allowed him to, he had built an L-shaped pool.
