LOCAL POLICE in Velez-Malaga retrieved as many as 1,000 kilos of mangoes distributed in several boxes which were to be stolen from the La Pola cottage, which belongs to the council.
The events took place on Monday (September 7) at around 4am, when a Local Police team which was patrolling the area caught a man red-handed inside the cottage, when he was allegedly stealing mangoes. After noticing the authorities, the man fled the scene and has not yet been found.
Local Police are currently searching for the suspect.
The same day, during the morning, authorities had already noticed that the lock on the property had been broken, and inside, the 40 boxes were packed and ready to be collected.
