SCHOOL materials will be provided for 9,300 Malaga Province schoolchildren in need over the next few days thanks to a project by La Caixa Social Works and Malaga Provincial Council.
The campaign, presented on Thursday (September 10) by La Caixa Andalucia representative Victorino Lluch and Provincial Council head Elias Bendodo, has covered purchase of €166,000 worth of supplies to be distributed amongst children from poverty-stricken families to ensure family problems do not affect their studies.
All supplies have been bought from local stationers to boost local business and bags, Lluch said, contain a school bag and pencil case, exercise books, scissors, pencils, crayons, pencil sharpeners, rubbers, plasticine, felt-tip pens and rulers.
