‘Water and Health’: Swimming in Albox

PREGNANT women, babies, seniors and just plain swimming enthusiasts: everyone is welcome as Albox’s indoor pool resumes its activities.

The facilities from the ‘Water and Health’ centre opened its doors again on September 14, offering neighbours in Albox and the whole of the Almanzora Valley the top-class centre for the practice of swimming and other pool facilities.

The courses include ‘aquababy’, especially designed for children between 0 and 4 years old and ‘aquagym’, for senior citizens. Pregnant women will also benefit from the exercises to improve flexibility, breathing, capacity and toning. Swimming will be taught in the outdoor pool from Monday to Thursday. Fridays and Saturdays will be available for free-style swimmers.

“Even though we are already one of the towns with a largest number of sport activities on offer, we still try to extend year after year the number of options and facilities to help our residents adopt healthy life habits,” said Sports Councillor Mario Torregrosa.

Those interested can subscribe until September 30, and classes are to begin on October 5. For more information, call 663730670 or 950431580.
