PARENTS of pupils at Torremolinos’s Palma de Mallorca Infant and Primary School are up in arms over a regional government decision to cancel two school buses.
The buses, which took about 100 children home at 3.15pm, have been cancelled, meaning transport is only still available for those who go home at 2pm and do not have school dinners.
Parents of the affected youngsters will have to make the tough decision whether to use the bus service or the lunch service as combining the two is now impossible.
The cost of the service, the parents complained, was less than €20,000 per year but the Junta de Andalucia regional government has said it is not trying to save money but the service was not viable.
