First snows fall as ski station prepares for the season

LESS than a week after autumn arrived, the Sierra Nevada mountains registered the first snowfall of the 2015-16 season on Monday (September 28).

As the ski station continues preparations for the arrival of skiers, running tests on cable cars and lifts, and the piste departments put the final touches in place, cameras revealed the encouraging sight of the mountains doused in white.
