A TOTAL of 3,055 agricultural and cattle sites will benefit from the improvement in rural paths which are to be performed in Velez-Malaga.
Head of the Agriculture and Fishing Department of the Velez-Malaga Council, Maria Santana, announced that these improvements will affect 12 kilometres in the area of Las Chozas and Castillo de Bentomiz.
The project, which is to have a total cost of €1.15 million, paid for by the Junta de Andalucia Regional Government, includes improvements in road paving and signs and also increased safety measures. Other Axarquia towns such as Arenas, Algarrobo and La Viñuela are to be benefit from similar schemes.
“Improving the paths will be an important boost for the agricultural activity of our town,” said the Councillor.
