Child molester accepts two years in prison

A MAN has been sentenced to two years in prison after sexually abusing his 11-year-old daughter in Andratx.

The now convicted was caught red-handed by the victim’s mother when he was molesting her, after which the man went to the Guardia Civil station to confess.

During the trial, he admitted the charges and the prosecutor’s office lowered their petition from four years to two for the confession.

The man will also spend five years on probation, will be denied parental responsibility for three years and three months and will not be able to approach or communicate with his daughter for five years. In addition, he will have to pay a €400 monthly pension for her until she turns 18.
