The Ritz Restaurant is now in its 15th successful year and is family run

BEACHFRONT LOCATION: Overlooking the tranquil Mediterranean sea.

The Ritz restaurant is a stunning international themed restaurant enjoying a privileged location beachfront on the Paseo de las Estrellas, Playa Albir in Alfaz del Pi. Overlooking the tranquil Mediterranean sea with impressive views across the bay to the iconic Penon Ifach in Calpe, the restaurant is now into its 15th successful year and is a classic family run establishment.

The Ritz is as you would expect, an elegant restaurant that serves truly international cuisine, prepared fresh on a daily basis by two highly experienced chefs.

The restaurant prides itself on offering guests a unique dining experience, with exceptionally high standards and quality dishes. They offer a simple yet creative menu prepared using some of the best ingredients imported directly from around the world. “We started importing Alaskan King Crab about 10 years ago, at that time we were one of the first, today it has been made more famous by the TV programme deadliest catch,” says owner and operator Esther. “But it remains very much a house speciality. One of our signature dishes is the Club Sandwich. It is that good that we simply could not take it off the menu as our regulars would be very upset, it’s quite unlike any Club Sandwich you have tried before.

“Also very popular is our 100 per cent beef home-made burger and Chicken Saté dishes. Our chefs also prepare delicious home-made desserts including cheesecake and tiramisu.”

Other eye-catching dishes include the Thai Tiger Prawns and classic Spanish Chateaubriand. They offer a summer and winter menu including seasonal specialities and have a three-course menu del dia at an incredible €14.95 and a daily special menu at €19.95.
The wine list is equally impressive, regularly updated it too represents the restaurant’s international clientele, flair and flavour, with a lot more than just the typical Spanish wines on offer. The Ritz has also become famous for its original and imaginative cocktails, including their Cosmopolitan.
The 100-seater restaurant seats 60 guests inside and 40 outside on their beachfront terrace, and provide catering for special events such as wedding receptions and private parties, where they will tailor a menu specifically to the guests’ tastes.
First class entertainment is organised regularly by the restaurant, with live international music playing on Wednesday and Friday evenings and Sunday lunchtime. The events are extremely popular so reservations are highly recommended.
The Ritz restaurant is open seven days a week from 12pm until after midnight.
Reservations can be made by calling 966 867 448. Guests can also contact them via email or their website www.theritzalbir.com or by visiting their Facebook page where they will be able to keep up to date with events at the busy restaurant.
