PALMA AIRPORT: Staff realised the man had been there all night without eating or drinking.
AN INFIRM man in his 70’s was found abandoned at Son Sant Joan Airport. The man, from Panama, reportedly arrived at night with a group of people to testify at a trial. He needs a wheelchair as he has suffered a stroke and cannot move around alone. Staff at the airport realised he had been there all night without eating or drinking and called the Local and National Police.
After being identified and given a medical exam, the police, paramedics and the Red Cross attempted to find him a safe place to stay and be treated while trying to contact his relatives and companions.
