Not enough military personnel in Alcudia

THE Defence Ministry has said that there is not enough personnel to allow civilians to visit the Cap de Pinar military facilities in Alcudia.

The mayor, Antoni Mir, explained that he had met with the person in charge of the Palma 47 Unit, who told him that they are available to the town to authorise visits for small groups. In 2011 it was agreed by the Ministry, the Environmental Department and the town hall and approved by the Regional Government that up to 50 civilians per day could access the area. Visits can be organised via the town hall.
