STREET lights at the entrance to Torrenueva in Mijas Costa are being changed to provide more light for less.
The 13 lampposts previously in place are being swapped for eight new ones with led lamps, which provide more light and are cheaper to run.
The new improved lighting, the council stressed, will not only save money but also improve safety in the area, which used to be rather dark at night.
