THE hospital in Denia attended to an average of 67 patients per day over the summer months, a significant improvement.
Many of the cases related to typical summer problems, including bites, sunburn, minor trauma and injuries and gastroenteritis. Serving a resident population of more than 40,000 people, the hospital sees a influx during the summer months of international patients.
The hospital counts on specialists working in many distinct areas of healthcare including rehabilitation, gynaecology and dermatology and also includes an addictive behavioural unit, dentistry, physiotherapy, family planning and mental health units.
