Guardia Civil arrested an Irish woman in possession of more than 18 kilos of hash traveling to Algeciras by coach.
The 41-year-old was caught during traffic checks off the A4 motorway in Almuradiel close Madrid. The unnamed woman admitted to owning the drugs found in her suitcase.
A Guardia Civil spokesman said: “We seized more than 18 kilos of cannabis resin at a rest area adjoining the A4 motorway from Andalucia to Madrid. The drugs were inside a suitcase on a coach. The owner of the suitcase is a 41-year-old Irish woman who has been arrested and remanded in prison.”
In a private court hearing, the investigating judge sent the woman to jail.
