RYANAIR: Connections to Hamburg, Newcastle and Berlin
Alicante-Elche Airport has opened new routes to operate over the winter season.
New connections to Hamburg, Newcastle and Berlin are being operated by Ryanair, while Vueling will also open a new national route within Spain flying to Santiago de Compostela. The flights to Hamburg will run three times per week, on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, while flights to Berlin will also fly three times per week, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The new route to Newcastle will also fly frequently three times per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The Ryanair flights will use Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with a capacity of 189 passengers. The Vueling flight will operate twice per week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. The British and German markets have experienced an increase in flight frequency and number of seats available for the winter season, which is a promising indicator for the tourist industry on the Costa Blanca.
