YOUNGSTERS at San Antonio public school in Motril have had a very educational visit from the local security forces.
Members of the Local Police force, fire brigade and Civil Protection volunteers, accompanied by Citizen Security delegate Maria Angeles Escamez and Education Councillor Mercedes Sanchez went to the school to offer a talk to fourth and fifth year pupils.
“This type of visit helps teach youngsters what to do in an emergency and who to go to for help,” Escamez explained.
The children were reminded that the number to call in an emergency is 112, which is the same in all European Community countries, runs 24 hours a day and is free, meaning it can even be contacted from mobiles with no credit left or phone boxes.
