FOLLOWING five years of promises, the Junta de Andalucia regional government has finally put work to build Velez-Malaga’s Las Naciones primary school out to public tender in its latest official bulletin.
The work, the Junta announced, has a €3.3 million budget and is expected to take one year to complete.
Once done, the new school will put an end to the controversial temporary huts which have caused multiple complaints and protests from parents, especially over the last year.
The project announced is for a primary school building containing 18 classrooms, library, sport hall with changing rooms, special education class, music room, sports tracks, playground and car-park.
