Our new Carers are unanimous in their appreciation of the training offered by Consultus and feel that it provides just the right balance to cater for varying levels of care experience. Those with little care experience felt they had gained in confidence enormously over the three days and the more experienced carers also felt they had refreshed their knowledge and gained additional skills.

Our training is based in the UK at our dedicated Training Centre in Tonbridge, Kent, and our nearby Carer House offers superb accommodation during training. Our overseas Carers particularly love staying in the Consultus Carer House for the duration of their training and feel it offers a positive experience of living and learning together. As well as our induction courses, our excellent in-house training department also offers a range of courses delivered by our friendly team of experienced healthcare professionals including: Manual handling, Emergency first aid, Working with dementia and Stroke awareness.

Our Edexcel/Pearson accredited Care Training Centre also allows us to train Consultus and non-Consultus Carers for Level 2 and Level 3 NVQ/Diplomas in Health and Social Care. This is a vocational qualification that can take up to six months to complete and the carer is required to complete theory work and be observed caring for a client. Penny Hoey from Orihuela Costa has worked as a Carer with Consultus for over four years and was delighted with Consultus Training. “It is excellent and gave me the confidence to know that I had the necessary skills to do the job, although it has to be said you never stop learning,” she commented.
