WASPS’ NEST: Has been removed and destroyed
A TEAM from the Balearic Consortium for Wildlife Recuperation (COFIB) located a wasps’ nest near the ses Barques panoramic viewpoint in Soller. The wasps (Vespa Velutina) are an invading species which was first detected in the Balearic Islands at the beginning of the month and which feeds on bees. The nest, almost 50cm in diameter, was destroyed.
