CELEBRATION: Calvia mayor and other officials attended the event.
THE Calvia University Centre (CUC), one of the first in the Balearic Islands, recently celebrated its 20th anniversary.
The mayor, Alfonso Rodriguez, attended the celebratory event, as well as many other members of Calvia Council and Vice Rectors Joana Maria Segui and Margalida Payeras.
The CUC was launched by Calvia Town Hall to promote university studies and set up resources to favour the creation of associations and promote healthy leisure activities.
In its 20 years, it has provided grants for 130 students and received more than 10,000 participants and users.
