All work and no rest isn’t the way that Elliott Wright likes to play

OLIVIA’S: The place to be mid-week.

Elliott Wright takes some well deserved time out to spend with his kids and go on his first holiday in four years.

“With it being such a busy few months opening my restaurant, ‘Olivia’s in La Cala,’ I thought it was about time I took a well deserved break. I planned my first holiday in four years. Sadie and I are currently relaxing in a luxury spa in West Africa. Of course, I had to take a small detour to Ireland on my way to spend time with my kids. It was such a laugh taking them ice skating – ‘Little Stars go Dancing on Ice,’ I really enjoyed my time with them.

Whilst I’m away my Dad is looking after things back at the restaurant,  he’s got stuck right in helping out with everything, including starting up his very own ‘Olivia’s Golf Society’ –  he’s in his element.

We were expecting a little bit of a rest during November to prepare ourselves for the Christmas rush, however that hasn’t happened at all. After a pumping party night with Masquerade Duo at the end of October, we booked them for every Wednesday during November due to its success and high demand, making Olivia’s the place to be mid-week. Then I decided it would be good fun to organise a fun casino and cocktail evening, with live entertainment, where we can all dress up and someone wins a bottle of Dom Perignon Champagne on the roulette wheel or black jack – Olivia’s Casino Royale Dinner and Dance on November 19.

There have been a few stormy days in October so we did some maintenance on the building. Also the main restaurant has been cosied up for those cold winter nights. Don’t forget Olivia’s is also a drop off point for Christmas gifts for Malaga Orphanage, we’ve all got to do our bit, Christmas isn’t all about partying. Telephone: 952 494 935 / www.oliviaslacala.com
