TWO residents of Vicar, aged 29 and 54, have been arrested by Guardia Civil for their alleged involvement in several robberies at hotels and petrol stations.
The investigation began in early November when 18 legs of ham, a computer, a till and a cigarette machine were stolen from a hotel in La Mojonera.
The officers realised that the thieves knew the area and the establishment well and focused their investigation on three known criminals whose modus operandi matched the crime.
They found that the suspects searched the area for isolated premises which they studied for days and even entered on occasions to get to know the layout.
